My niece and Julian’s baby sister, Cassandra (we call her Baby Cassandra) visited last week and it was so much fun! She is a WILD girl. You cannot tame her, but she’s sweet and cute as a button so you’re just like “ah whatever you crazy girl”. Her first night at our home was her first night ever away from her own and she did a great job! I’m sure she missed her mother (my sister), dad, and other brother Cameron, but she was so brave and ready for a new adventure. And an adventure it was! It was neat for Derek and I to practice running a home with two children and Julian is SUCH a great big brother. He loved taking care of Cassandra and reading to her at night time. While she was up we carved some pumpkins! They were both very particular about their pumpkin-carving-vision. Julian wanted nothing smiling, but had to settle on a creepy smile since all the patterns had smiling ghosts or cats. Cassandra wanted a small and happy pumpkin. They did a great job and the next day Cassandra refused to go anywhere without hers. It came with us to the store, post office, and pool. I asked her if she was going to name it and she said, “Ah- it’s a pumpkin?” DUH. Here are some of my favorite photos from our carving activity. Can’t wait for this one to visit again.
